01. Agreement to Terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Enmuse (“we,” “us,” or “our”), governing your access to and use of the Enmuse progressive web application, website at enmuseapp.com, and related services (collectively, the “Service”).
By accessing or using Enmuse, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
02. Devotional Disclaimer — Not Medical or Psychiatric Advice
Enmuse is a spiritual, scripture-based devotional companion rooted in Christian contemplative tradition. It is designed to assist personal prayer, Bible reading, and meditative quietude.
NOT CLINICAL PSYCHOTHERAPY: The Service does NOT constitute medical care, psychiatric diagnosis, clinical psychotherapy, substance withdrawal treatment, or medical advice. Although Enmuse is affiliated with the contemplative wellness initiatives of Enmuse Health, using this application does not establish a patient-provider relationship with Brandon Passmore or any clinician.
03. Permissible Use & Code of Conduct
Enmuse is offered as a sacred haven for personal, non-commercial contemplation. You agree that you will not:
- Attempt to decompile, reverse engineer, or disassemble any part of the Service;
- Scrape, spider, crawl, or harvest scripture reflections or companion data via automated bots or scripts;
- Circumvent, bypass, or interfere with security features or rate limiters implemented by our edge servers;
- Use the platform in any manner that disrupts server availability or degrades performance for other seekers.
04. Intellectual Property & Sacred Scripture
The original commentaries, devotional curation, user interface designs, audio recordings, graphic assets, and brand trademarks are the proprietary intellectual property of Enmuse and Brandon Passmore.
Scripture quotations included within the application are cited under fair use or licensing guidelines from their respective copyright holders (including the NASB, ESV, and public domain translations).
05. Subscriptions, Sponsorship & Billing
Voluntary sponsorships, patron subscriptions, or premium features are billed on a recurring basis through authorized payment channels (Apple In-App Purchases, Google Play Billing, or Stripe).
You may cancel a subscription at any time through the respective platform settings where the purchase was initiated. Unless required by applicable consumer law, subscription payments are non-refundable for active billing periods.
06. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of North Carolina, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any legal dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state or federal courts situated in Henderson County, North Carolina.
